The Fierce Urgency of Now

"The fierce urgency of now" is a phrase most famously used by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to convey the critical need for immediate action to address social injustices and other pressing issues. It represents a call to action that recognizes that delays are unacceptable and that progress must be made right away to avoid being "too late". Mayor McGill challenged participants to be informed, register to vote, get out the vote, and run for office.
